Sky1:
Hello! Welcome to the Strike Back Project Dawn live chat... the boys will be joining us shortly!!
9:32

Sullivan Stapleton:
Hello Sky1HD - excited to be joining you soon
9:32

Philip Winchester:
i love playing Frank in Fringe
9:33

Comment From Allan Pang
To Phillip, does he miss playing as Frank in Fringe?
9:34

Sky1:
Thanks to everyone who's been sending in their questions on Facebook and Twitter - we've got loads to get through this evening... but keep them coming...
9:34

Comment From Zoey
Hi Philip!
9:35

Comment From Allan Pang
How does it differ working/acting in a UK show compared to US shows like Fringe and Camelot?
9:45

Comment From Jen
Philip! it's a pleasure to have you here!!
9:46

Comment From Kate
Hi Sullivan and Philip. Hope you're enjoying all the good reviews for the show. Am really hoping there will be more series with you guys.
9:52

Sky1:
Not long now... are you all watching while you're waiting?
9:54

Comment From Kate
watching, and recording to watch over again. can't wait til Nov and will get dvd. Loved first series, but this so much better.
9:56

Comment From Jen
yes waiting for Philip!!
9:57

Sky1:
The boys are in the house! Well, virtually.

What did you think of that episode??
9:58

Comment From Darcy
Philip, will you be appearing in fringe again?
9:58

Sky1:
One from Georgina Condliffe on Facebook:

How much weapon and tactical training do you have to do and who teaches you cuz it all seems v realistic!!?
9:59

Sullivan Stapleton:
We did a lot of tactical training, weapons training and also physical training. We were trained by some great men who have actually worked in the military – all different aspects. They really put us through our paces!
10:00

Philip Winchester:
Hi Georgina – thanks for your question. We had several teachers support us throughout filming. An ex SBS soldier and three other ex-British military guys who live out in South Africa. We trained every day for a month and then we were supervised on set for the rest of filming.
10:01

Comment From Zoey
Soo good, loved when Michael took out the guy on the horse- great stut
10:01

Comment From haydn
sucha good episode Smile
10:01

Comment From Guest
Great episode guys
10:02

Sullivan Stapleton:
Hi Zoey – that wasn’t Michael who took out a guy on the horse. That was a stuntie! Sorry, Phil. But you’re winning in the “hardest” poll.
10:03

Philip Winchester:
hi guys that actually was me! Sully was up in Budapest!
10:04

Comment From STEVEN G from MATLOCK
Which were your favourite scenes to film during the making of Strike Back and the most difficult ones? SUPERB SERIES Smile
10:04

Sullivan Stapleton:
Steven G: My favourite scene to film was the fight scene in ep 1. I fought for 7 hours for that and they cut it down to a few minutes. But that’s television!
10:06

Comment From kyle robinson
wat a show fellas best on tv
10:07

Sullivan Stapleton:
Sorry guys - that was Phil who took out the guy on the horse. It was a stuntie who fell off it! My bad.
10:07

Comment From Phil
Will there be another series>>>?
10:07

Philip Winchester:
My favourite one was with Sully in a gazelle helicopter - both our legs were hanging off the edge! The most difficult was working in the 43 degree heat in Budapest - stuck inside a tram car! We were dripping with sweat by the end of the day.
10:07

Comment From Fiona
excellent series
10:07

Philip Winchester:
thanks Kyle!
10:07

Comment From Guest
Just finished watching and want to say what a fab show!
10:07

Comment From Wirral Bev

10:08

Sullivan Stapleton:
Was that you, Phil W who asked if there's going to be another series??
10:08

Philip Winchester:

What Happens At The End
10:10

Comment From haydn
has there been any accidents with the weapons
10:11

Comment From Jools
Did any of you get hurt during filming?
10:11

Comment From Rob
did you get any serious injuries doing the amazing stunts?
10:12

Philip Winchester:
Hey Jools- lots of bruises and scrapes! I rolled my ankle in the shoot-out scene at the end of ep 5 and had to wear a brace for the rest of show. I also suffered from a broken heart when Sully left me to go to Europe Sad
10:12

Sullivan Stapleton:
Hey Rob: Probably the biggest accident that I was involved in was being kicked in the balls twice by an actor during a fight scene. The first one I would say was an accident, but the second one was pushing it!
10:12

Philip Winchester:
Hi Haydn- no accidents with the weapons (although Sully and I would shoot each other with air soft guns when we were bored)
10:13

Comment From Guest
Looking hot gents
10:13

Comment From Maxine
Hi guys, This show is amazing, i'm always on the edge of my seat, Is it coming back for a third season?
10:13

Comment From matt

10:13

Philip Winchester:

10:13

Comment From Phil

10:13

Comment From sam
the best show on tv by far!! xx
10:14

Sullivan Stapleton:
Hi Haydn: I copped a couple of splinters in my ass from squibs (little explosive devices) that were set into a plywood wall.
10:14

Sullivan Stapleton:
Sam: I love you xxx
10:14

Comment From Guest
Where did you film this current series
10:14

Comment From Bigdan
Why is it that Damian is always in the sex scenes.. Why not philip?
10:15

Philip Winchester:
Sullivan is more needy than i am that's why he gets the girls
10:15

Sullivan Stapleton:
Because Philip gets to look like the hero who saves my ass every episode. So at least my ass gets to do something!
10:15

Comment From Nutty Scouser
great show dont get that hooked on many but this is brill
10:16

Comment From Aexander Roan
Do you get to do many of your own stunts?
10:16

Comment From paul woolley

10:16

Comment From lloyd

10:18

Comment From Glen Robertson

10:18

Comment From Mike
Hey Guys, Did u enjoy the fact that there is loads of sex scenes in Strike Back?
10:18

Comment From Gem
Fab episode - infact all of this series has ben real edge of your seat stuff!
10:18

Comment From andrew
how do you think strike back differs from other combat based shows, like A-team etc.
10:18

Comment From Chris
Sullivan, do you like the ladies, its becoming a theme for you every episode. Smile
10:19

Philip Winchester:
Hey Jack- Eleanor is the strongest (from a character point of view). She's constantly making decisions that could put our lives in danger!
10:19

Sullivan Stapleton:
Hey Jack: I loved the character of Kate. Eva stayed with us every step of the way during our military training. I think it was a big mistake they killed off that little soldier. She was a hard-ass!
10:20

Comment From michele G
A- mazing episode guys - full on testosterone action - as always ! love it x

Hi Kevin- best part about being in the show was the amazing location, working with great actors and the guns!
10:22

Comment From Jack
That episode was awesome as usual, though I still haven't seen anything to beat the bomb-catch from episode 2.
10:22

Comment From Morgan

10:23

Comment From Rob

10:23

Comment From Guest

10:23

Comment From Nick Harvey
Love the episode hurry up and get the next one on. Can't wait! Smile
10:23

Comment From Andy Paterson
Philip do you do any boxing?
10:24

Sullivan Stapleton:
To everyone who has asked me the question about the ladies: yes of course it’s a very strong theme for my character. Most of the time I have fun in those scenes because I’m just an idiot who mucks around, and tries to have as much fun as possible during what could be quite nerve-wracking scenes. Especially for the girls coming in as my co-stars.
10:25

Philip Winchester:

Hey Andy -I boxed specifically for the show but keep my fitness regime pretty simple in my personal life with lots of hiking and swimming. I also go to the gym about 3-4 times a week
10:25

Comment From Kate
Do you guys still like to watch the series when its on tv, or do you get to see it all in 1 go? Ever think you could have done things differently?
10:25

Comment From TonyC

10:25

Comment From steve
never been into war series, but you guys make it so real and believable, great series and you have me hooked. cant wait for each episode, great acting.
10:26

Comment From Guest
Is there any hope for you guys, as the main characters always seem to die!
10:27

Comment From Amelia
Do you ever finish filming a scene and question how you would have handled it in real life? Love the show though and Stonebridge is the best!Smile
10:27

Philip Winchester:
thanks Amelia - I did think about that sometimes in the show and thought thank god there are guys out there who do this for real!
10:29

Philip Winchester:
thanks for all your positive comments about the show guys!
10:29

Sullivan Stapleton:
Jeez , thanks Amelia! Love you too! We’ve got great directors that give us the freedom to work these things out and they’re open to our ideas so I guess we’re not specifically told how to do things. We’ve been trained to do these things and a lot of the time we inform the directors on how we’d do it because of the training we’ve done.
10:30

Philip Winchester:
Hey Sully- will you have a pint with me at The Toucan in Soho next time we're in London?
10:30

Sullivan Stapleton:
Amanda Cox – glad I’m in your living room every Sunday night, babe.
10:30

10:31

Sullivan Stapleton:
Hey Phil - how about we go for one now at the Village Idiot on Melrose?!
10:31

Comment From Stu Murdoch
which one of you 2 would win in an arm wrestle?
10:32

Sullivan Stapleton:
Stu: I think we'd be about even
10:32

Philip Winchester:
I'd think Sully can pick up more pints than I can!
10:32

Sullivan Stapleton:
I'd probably kick his ass in a fight, though
10:33

Sullivan Stapleton:
Well that's true, Phil. Phil would probably wait until I'm drunk - then he'd definitely win the fight! He's a smart man that, Philip Winchester.
10:34

Philip Winchester:
thanks for the encouragement buddy!
10:34

Comment From Guest
just gets better every episode
10:34

Comment From alex

Comment From Francesca
So after being part of Strike back, do you think you've picked the right career being an actor or could you hack the job you portray in the series?
10:35

Comment From Kate
Sullivan you are the hardest and the sexiest. Sorry Phil.
10:35

Comment From michele G

Comment From Guest
Awesome episode, just finished Very Happy
10:36

Sky1:
Another one from Twitter... Emma asks if the world ended in 24 hours what would you do in that time left?
10:36

Sullivan Stapleton:
Emma – I’d probably get all my friends and family, and a lot of booze, on a massive yacht moored off some tropical island and have one massive party!
10:36

Philip Winchester:
Hi Emma- 24 hours left- I’d probably spend with my wife, go for a walk with my dog and appreciate the simpler things in life
10:37

Sullivan Stapleton:
What about my party, Phil??
10:38

Sullivan Stapleton:
Kate: Thanks, hottie!
10:38

Philip Winchester:
Emma do you know something we don't know? Sully- ill still attend your party!

Damien Scott is a bit of a joker who's the real joker in the cast??? X
10:41

Philip Winchester:
Lawrence- that was the goal! To hear from you guys is awesome thank you!
10:41

Philip Winchester:

Haha Sully is a really funny guy actually- a lot of fun to be with!
10:43

Sky1:
Sullivan's answer for Janice:

Hey Janice: That would be me! I had a lot of fun mucking around on set. I used to tie sandbags to the Grips’ shoes so they couldn’t push the dolly. And one of my favourite tricks was to put my c**k-sock over the eye-piece of the camera.

(few technical problems... we're sorting it!)
10:43

Comment From Dan
Keep up the good work guys :-)
10:43

Comment From lloyd
sullivan should be winning the hardest poll pulling that fit reporter
10:44

Sullivan Stapleton:
Lloyd - completely agree!
10:44

Sullivan Stapleton:
Dom: How do you know that, Dom? Where have you got this fact from?
10:45

Sky1:
Loads of comments on Twitter about Philip on Fringe. Bubblevillefan asks if it was fun to work on?
10:46

Philip Winchester:
It was great fun – Anna Torv is hugely talented and my wife and I got to spend some time in Vancouver which is one of our favourite cities.
10:46

Comment From Dave

Comment From chris from ireland

10:49

Comment From Guest
What's it like filming those shoot out scenes?!
10:49

Sky1:
Question from Dean on Facebook:

If they had their time over would they have joined the Army?
10:50

Sullivan Stapleton:
Hey Dean: I thought about it once, my Dad was in the military and my Grandfather was in the military but thank god my acting career took off. What we do is make-believe. When we get shot it doesn’t hurt. Much respect to the men and women serving their countries. They’re harder than any actor ever will be.
10:51

Philip Winchester:
Hey Dean – I enjoy my work immensely and know that we’re only pretending. I do have people in the military in my family though (my grandfather worked on a destroyer in the navy).
10:51

Comment From Mike
Nevermind that Michael is winning the "hardest" poll, Damian gets all the girls to make up for it
10:51

Comment From jez
do you tackle every woman on set sullivan? lol
10:52

Comment From Jay
Did you guys think that you could take what you've learned from working on the show and have it come in handy in real life ?
10:52

Sullivan Stapleton:
Amanda: I don't think Strike Back is about John Porter alone. I think it's about a group of men and women in a black ops military unit trying to stop International terrorism.
10:53

Philip Winchester:
Hey Jay – we were taught to keep our eyes open and trust our intuition – that’s gotta come in handy!
10:54

Sullivan Stapleton:
Good answer, Phil. I can certainly run faster and the 6-pack they gave me has certainly come in handy!
10:54

Sky1:
Exclusive clip from next week's episode coming up shortly...
10:56

Sky1:
Another one from Facebook:

Which other actors do you look up to?
10:56

Sullivan Stapleton:
Not many as I'm quite tall but I do look up to Rashan Stone.
10:56

Philip Winchester:
I really enjoy watching Tom Hardy
10:57

Philip Winchester:
good call Sully!
10:58

Sky1:
And another from FB

Sullivan, how did you get the accent right?
10:58

Sullivan Stapleton:
Practice, practice, practice! I had already done some accent work with a great teacher in the States for another job prior to this and we had some great people come in through the course of the shoot both in South Africa and Hungary to help all of us with the various accents required for such an international show.
10:58

Sky1:
2 minutes left people... make them count!
10:59

Comment From luke spowage
what is the hardest thing about working as a person im the military?
10:59

Comment From jez
do you plan a series 3?
11:00

Sullivan Stapleton:
As said above - I bl00dy hope so! Do you guys want another series? If so, please tell HBO and Sky! Thank you

11:01
