Andrew Lincoln set to color the canvas of Strike Back!

Hello friends!

Hope you all have been enjoying getting scared out of your wits through this amazing horror drama!

Well! The scoop of the day is about the protagonist of the show i.e. Andrew Lincoln, who has got a role in an upcoming project titled Strike Back.

I’d like to share some details of the same. The new show is all about a fascinating group of former U.S Special Forces operatives who fight against an international terrorist group.

After watching Lincoln in the frightening series, it’ll be great fun to watch him in the army dress code and fight it out against the terrorists!

Let’s talk some more about Strike Back, the star-cast of which include Philip Winchester, Sullivan Stapleton and of course, Lincoln. The interesting fact about the show is that it has been inspired by a book written by Chris Ryan, a former special force officer.

Well! The new show is all set for its debut in summer and another thing which I would like to add is that the shooting for the show has been done in some of the most stunning locales of South Africa and Hungary.

Moving on, allow me to tell you about the latest episode of The Walking Dead. In this episode you’ll see how Shane fails in his attempt to evacuate Rick, assuming that he is dead. What makes the chapter even more interesting was Shane’s attempt to renew his relationship with Lori.

He tries to display his love upon her forcefully, but she being equally strong minded, doesn’t let him fulfill his wish.

Wow, I know the things are interesting. They’ll look more amazing when you watch them unfold before your eyes, especially the explanation of the brain processes inside a zombie’s gooey grey cells. So, be prepared for goose bumps!

http://www.examiner.com/pop-culture-in-new-york/cinemax-sets-its-sights-on-new-original-mainstream-programming

Cinemax has also partnered with the British-based Sky network for “Strike Back,” which is based on the popular book series by Chris Ryan. In it, a charismatic former U.S. Special Forces operative is pulled back into his old life as a member of the UK’s “MI-6” division. Starring “Animal Kingdom’s” Sullivan Stapleton and “Fringe’s” Philip Winchester, the series could premiere as early late August.

Rounding out the series orders is “The Sector,” a new big budget series from powerhouse producers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott. This project would target the sci-fi crowd and focuses on a team tracking down a new race of genetically enhanced (i.e. dangerous) humans.

Incidentally, it’s also worth noting that while the network may be looking to minimize the “Skinamax” tag, they also aware that their subscriber base still includes those looking for more adult programming. So in order to not leave them in the lurch either, Cinemax is still planning on premiering more racy shows like “Femme Fatales” and “Chemistry” later on in the year.

With all of those new projects in the mix and their continued distribution partnership with the major studios, it looks Cinemax may finally be able to come into its own; but it remains to be seen if it will be enough to make audiences give them another look.
