I got a message asking me about the music on the show. I haven't watched the show since it ended last season, so I don't know. I'll probably pick up the dvd next month sometime.

All I know is that the opening song title information can be found here:

The opening song is called Short Change Hero by The Heavy

Strike Back Season 2 to Feature Two New Bob Dylan Songs
'Early Roman Kings' and 'Scarlet Town' will be featured in this Cinemax drama's new season, debuting Friday, August 17 at 10 PM ET.
By TVweb | Aug 3, 2012

Two new songs from legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan will be featured in the second season of Cinemax's Emmy-nominated action drama series Strike Back, which begins Aug. 17. Both previously unreleased songs appear on Dylan's upcoming album "Tempest," to be released Sept. 11, marking his 50th anniversary as a recording artist and his 35th studio release.

"It's an honor for Cinemax to showcase Bob Dylan's exciting new music in his 50th anniversary year," says Kary Antholis, president, Cinemax Programming and HBO Miniseries.

"Early Roman Kings" will make its world premiere in a music video promo featuring scenes from the new season, and airs on Cinemax and HBO starting today. It will also be available at Cinemax.com.

"Scarlet Town" will make its world premiere over the end credits following the back-to-back debuts of the first two episodes on Friday, August 17 (10:00-11:30 p.m. ET/PT). In addition, the song will play after the subsequent separate plays of both episodes, which will also be available from Max On Demand and Max GO.

Bob Dylan recently received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country's highest civilian honor. His other honors include a special Pulitzer Prize, 11 Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award and an Oscar.

Starring Philip Winchester (Crusoe) and Sullivan Stapleton (Animal Kingdom), Strike Back follows a stealth counterterrorism unit as it spans the globe to stop potential threats. Season twoSeason 2 features guest stars Rhona Mitra (Underworld 3: The Rise of The Lycans) and Charles Dance (HBO's Game of Thrones); the supporting cast includes Rhashan Stone (Episodes) and Michelle Lukes (Alexander).

Terrorism, Cinemax, and Bob Dylan: Parsing the Meaning of ‘Early Roman Kings’ in Strike Back Preview (Video)

By Drew Grant 8/02 2:13pm

‘Strike Back’ preview (Cinemax)
In what will be the second biggest Bob Dylan-related news item this week, the 71-year-old premiered a new track from his upcoming album Tempest during a preview for Cinemax’s post-24 counter-terrorism show, Strike Back.

The new song, “Early Roman Kings” is all about conquerors who level cities, and since Tempest‘s release date is September 11th, we’re guessing that epic disasters will be a theme throughout the album. (The first track is a 14-minute song about the Titanic.)
Here are the lyrics for “Early Roman Kings”, if you can’t hear Bob Dylan’s mumbling underneath all the gunfire:

All the early Roman kings
In their shark skin suits
Bow ties and buttons
High top boots
Drivin’ the spikes in *
Blazin’ the rails
Nailed in their coffins
Top hats and tails
Fly away over
Fly away flap your wings
Fly by night
Like the early Roman kings
They’re peddlers and they’re meddlers
They buy and they sell
They destroyed your city
They’ll destroy you as well
They’re lecherous and treacherous
A-Hell bent for leather *
Each of ‘em bigger
Than all men put together
Sluggers and muggers
Wearin fancy gold rings
All the women going crazy
For the early Roman kings

On the surface, Strike Back seems like an odd fit for the song’s debut, as the show is about two members of an elite counter-terrorism unit that gets their international travel points by running around the globe and fighting the War on Terror. What political statement is Mr. Dylan trying to make by lending a track about early roman kings destroying cities to a show about two Americans racing around the Middle East, tracking a terrorist suspected of harboring WMDs?

This is not the only song Mr. Dylan has contributed to Strike Back: the show’s August 17th season premiere will feature Tempest‘s “Scarlet Town” in its closing credits.
