| http://filmgeek624.blogspot.com/2011/04/little-beefcake-and-all-around-hurrah.htmlSunday, April 24, 2011 I've been watching Camelot on Starz and I wanted to give a hurrah, huzza and an all-around standing ovation to the acting talents of Philip Winchester. Winchester is featured in Camelot in the supporting role of Leontes. As the series has progressed, Leontes has quickly emerged as an interesting character and stands apart from the sea of faceless knights and peasants. Reading further on Philip Winchester's career, his immense talent quickly becomes apparent. He is an incredibly well versed American actor (this comes as a shock to many people due to his amazingly realistic British accent) who has appeared in everything from CSI Miami to art house cinema like In My Sleep (pictured above...darn you independent cinema, why aren't you on dvd!) and even a lead role in the Royal Shakespeare Company's filmed production of King Lear. The RSC productions are the most accurate and accepted depictions of the Bard's work; thus, Winchester's casting as Edmund speaks volumes to his talent as an actor. While Winchester's career is still very much developing, it is clear from the outset that he is an immensely talented actor who has a long future in front of him. Not familiar with him, take a look at his impressive skills. http://www.rsc.org.uk/explore/king-lear/quotes.aspxPosted by Kimberly Pierce at 11:47 PM | |
